Course Curriculum Overview

Language courses offered at EastBridge are available at three levels: Beginner,  Intermediate, and Advanced. All courses integrate cultural immersion and practical language use for academic or professional settings. 

Each course can be adapted to suit individual student goals (academic study, test prep, work relocation) with personalized modules. EastBridge’s one-on-one or small group classes ensure a tailored learning experience.

**Beginner** 

✅Recognize and understand letters – Build phonics skills and begin reading basic words

 ✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Introduces Present Simple and Present Continuous tenses naturally within conversations

 ✅Speaking:  Learn to answer simple questions like "Introduce yourself" or “How are you?”

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities

**Intermediate** 

✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Learn essential nouns, verbs, and adjectives in a structured way;                             Covers Past Continuous, Future Tense (“will”), and prepositions

 ✅Speaking:  Speak using new vocabulary and sentence structures (e.g. ordering at a restaurant, attend meetings)

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities  

 ✅Reading:  Read longer passages, building fluency and comprehension

**Advanced** 

 ✅Speaking: debates, interviews

 ✅Listening: lectures, documentaries 

 ✅Reading: news articles, novels

 ✅Writing:  essay, presentation

 **Beginner** 

✅Recognize and understand letters –  Pinyin （拼音）system and pronunciation 

 ✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Introduces simple grammar structure: Subject (主语), Predicate (谓语), Object (宾语), Modifier (定语), Adverbial (状语), Complement (补语) 

 ✅Speaking:  Learn to answer simple questions like "你叫什么名字" or “你想吃什么?”

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities

**Intermediate** 

✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Expand vocabulary to include 1,500–2,500 words, focusing on thematic areas like business, technology, and travel;   master intermediate grammar (e.g. 方向补语和复杂的关联词) 

 ✅Speaking:  Speak using new vocabulary and sentence structures (e.g.  餐馆点餐, 参加工作会议)

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities  

 ✅Reading:   Read longer passages, building fluency and comprehension

**Advanced** 

 ✅Speaking: debates, interviews

**Beginner** 

✅Recognize and understand letters : Hangul (한글) alphabet and pronunciation 

 ✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Introduces simple  sentence structure (Subject-Object-Verb),  Particles (e.g., 은/는, 이/가, 을/를), Basic verb conjugations (present, past, and future tense) and  Politeness levels (formal vs. informal language)

 ✅Speaking:  Learn to answer simple questions like "어떻게 지내세요?" or “좋아하는 음식이 뭐에요?”

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities

**Intermediate:** 

✅ Vocabulary and Grammar: Expand vocabulary to include 1,500–2,500 words, focusing on thematic areas like business, technology, and travel;   Sentence connectors (e.g., 그래서, 그러니까, 하지만, 그러면);

Usage of particles in nuanced contexts (e.g., 밖에, 만, 도)

 ✅Speaking:  Speak using new vocabulary and sentence structures (e.g.  음식 주문, 회의 참가) 

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities  

 ✅Reading:   Read longer passages, building fluency and comprehension

**Advanced:**

 **Beginner** 

✅Recognize and understand letters :  Hiragana (ひらがな) and Katakana (カタカナ), and start with basic Kanji (漢字) and pronunciation 

 ✅ Vocabulary and Grammar:  Introduces simple  sentence structure (Subject-Object-Verb),  Particles (e.g. は、が、を、に、で), Basic verb conjugation (present and past tense), 

Politeness levels (formal vs. informal language)

 ✅Speaking:  Learn to answer simple questions like "お元気ですか?" or "好きな食べ物は何ですか?"

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities

**Intermediate** 

✅ Vocabulary and Grammar: Expand vocabulary to include 1,500–2,500 words, focusing on thematic areas like business, technology, and travel; Expressing comparisons (e.g., ～より、～のほうが); 

Understanding causative and passive forms (e.g., ～させる、～される);   Conjunctions for complex sentences (e.g., ～ので、～のに、～なら).  

 ✅Speaking:  Speak using new vocabulary and sentence structures (e.g.  食べ物の注文 , 会議への参加) 

 ✅Listening:  Develop comprehension through engaging lessons and interactive activities  

 ✅Reading:   Read longer passages, building fluency and comprehension
